"Creating Emotional Balance"

"As long as we live beyond our means we are destined to live beneath our means." Stock Market Crash 2008 quote from Ron Paul video prediction*(see below for more)

It struck me how similar this quote, though it refers to overspending in finances, is so similar to the overspending of our personal energy. As long as we continue to worship our "high-energy self" pushing ourselves to the edge of our energy and stress...as long as we live beyond the means of   creative balance   then we are destined to live beneath our means.

Learn to balance your multitasking energy and really watch yourself grow beyond what you see in your life now!

"Buying the Black and White Farm"©
Sustainable Interpretation of the "Flight of Ideas" .

The day was bright and sunny. I was taking a drive with my daughter and we stopped in for ice cream at a farm with a petting zoo. I looked at the interesting animals around and a pattern struck me. I noticed the rabbits and the chickens were a unique breed of black and white varieties with full feathers or patterned fur - and then it hit me.

I want a Black and White Farm!

A tourist attraction/petting zoo complete with all black and white animals!

Is this a great idea?

Yes, for someone this is a great idea - but is this idea for me?

Readers of The Wave Riders book are learning to call these idea sessions that come complete with a fully layout and details, "Wave Rides" and they used to be a problem for me.

Before I learned what a "Wave Ride" is I would hear myself say,

This is it!
This is the thing that will make me rich!
This is "my ship coming in.

I would spend countless hours, dollars and energy "working out all of the details" to get this incredible idea started before I stopped to ask that question,"Is this idea for me"?

Wave Riders have an ability to tap into universal ideas that can flow through our mind like cloud bursts of knowledge. Sometimes referred to as the "flight of ideas", each idea appearing as "great" when in reality some are great and some are not so great.

A reader once decided that gathering a group of people outside a potential employer's place of business to show how her popularity was a good idea. Surely, the potential employer would see what an asset she was. Somehow in her mind she thought that if she could show she was linked to a lot of people who might come into make a purchase that this would get her the job when in reality, this idea has an even greater chance of scaring off the potential employer. This type of "acting on this idea" behavior is often a sign that we are currently "out of balance" and being influenced by the adrenaline chemicals flooding our body. It may also, be a sign of borderline personality disorder...where a person does not see the boundaries clearly and justifies the thinking as innovative without consideration of the potential consequences.

How many times have you had a great idea or been offered something that "would make you rich" only to find out that you wasted your time and money?

Eventually, you come to the conclusion that you will never succeed. You may even decide that it is too dangerous to even try. Why get excited if it will only end in depression?

The good news is you are not a failure!

What you failed to do was to allow yourself to come back to "middle ground" before getting involved and before "buying the land for the farm" and stocking in full of black and white animals ( I still want to do this by the way ha ha ).

When you are on a high-energy wave - it is like the "fight or flight" responses designed to help you to either "run from the tiger" or "fight the tiger". When this adrenaline is released into our bodies we see ideas faster and clearer because it is beneficial to do so if you are running from a tiger. You need those quick flowing ideas to escape and to survive.
You have tapped into the pool of solutions and innovations. You do not have to react to them.

Just because you "caught a good idea" does not mean that you have to implement them and in fact, implementing them will very likely bring you to financial and emotional ruin, destroying your relationships and your self-confidence. This also goes for the idea to purchase something when you are on a "high wave" because it seems like a good idea.

Some people say "I don't go up" anymore and often this is because they are too afraid to. This defeated attitude is a normal response to constant failure of the "make it rich" stinking thinking.

The really good news is…you do not have to repeat the failure process and if you wait long enough to analyze the potential of the idea for you in particular, then you might just have "staying power". Enough staying power to make it all the way to success and beyond.

When you chose ideas or items, while on the mid-wave of energy, ( your true self level) and not from the you that is pushed by adrenaline or depression, you will make better choices for you. You will choose that which excites you on a regular basis not just for the short term. This idea will excite you even when you feel low. With this "right for me thinking" you can sustain your enthusiasm all the way to success, rather than hear those same old words half way to the finish line: "why did I do this?", "I don't' want to do this anymore", "I must be crazy to keep getting myself into these investments, multilevel marketing schemes, business, jobs, volunteer situations and relationships".

So, what do you do when those ideas are flooding in?

Readers of The Wave Riders book know to react in the following ways:

  1. Understand that the flight of ideas and fast breathing is an indication that adrenaline has entered your body and you are either on a high-energy Wave Ride or you are about to go there.
  2. Stop and take deep and slow breaths in and out until you calm the flow down. Focus on your heart rate and feel it slow down.
  3. Write the idea down in point form ONLY - no details(or you'll waste your time) - don't worry you won't lose the details they are fully photographed inside your mind.
  4. Walk away from the idea. If you are being pressed for a decision say, "Let me get back to you".
  5. Say nothing more- bite your tongue if you have to. Saying anything now will likely get you "involved". You are a natural salesperson and can sell anything. You must not say anything at this time as it will be influenced by the view from the top and is not real. You may make a commitment that you cannot or do not want to keep.
  6. Wait until you are down from the excitement or wait until you are a bit low and see if that same idea appeals to you. Long lived opportunity will not disappear but will remain for you to decide with a clear mind. It may take awhile for you to really be at a level to make this decision, especially if you are already out of balance (working too hard etc). Stall as long as you can until you can really see that it is not going to be the wrong place for you to invest your time, your resources, your emotions and your energy.

Tomorrow is a new day.

Breathe deep and take care
