March Message:
Our March article encourages us to have the child-like innocence to travel along life's highway in faith knowing that we do not need to have all the answers all of the time.
For some, it seems so easy. "God has granted them everything and left me here in despair," are the words I would hear myself say.
I have prayed for change, wept for change and begged for change all the while believing it was an external gift from God, the Universe or some source outside myself.

Today's Gentle Reminder
=====================================================
As you are learning to ride the wave remember:
Hang in there!
It is important for me to continue to remind readers of The Wave Riders book that they should expect another experience in depression after they have read the book.
This down period usually comes because The Wave Riders book creates hope which sends you up on the high wave. You let yourself go for too long and then you are thrown back on the low wave. We all have had to experience this while we determine what our personal wave rider rules are.
Do not panic. From the bottom it will be hard to remember that there is hope. You have learned,
so far, that you hold the ladder that helps you to get out of that pit.
Many readers to keep the book handy and to use it as a reference or a life-line to bring
them back to a more grounded position.
Another tool is to created a schedule of things that must be done on each day - small
things, even better are small things that you enjoy. Complete these small things while not allowing the negative thought until you can bring yourself back to the middle.
Each completion adds a rung on your ladder that guides you back up.
Do not think too much at this stage ...just believe and keep completing until you see the light of joy again. When you are grounded once more make a good note, not to over extend yourself again. Make what adjustments are necessary to get your life on track and in balance for you personal needs.
If your situation is one that you simple must bear, until a time in the future where it may be changed, then find something that will challenge you to be your best, something that will help you learn more so, that you are
focused on the improvement to your life rather than the perceived negatives of the current situation. Focus on a new hobby or work on your "stepping stone" creations
do something positive that will counter balance the negatives.
(see TheWaveRiders book page 56 for more information on stepping stone creations).
Remember that focusing on the negative will give the negative more strength and energy to grow, while finding a way to create
positives will make that time move much more quickly.
If you find yourself in the pit again....just hang in there, reach for the healthy positives you created ...you will come back out again.

Collectors note: All books signed December 2002 have now become collectors items! The printer lost the layout files and the
book had to be reconstructed. We have some December issues still in stock. The new book will be the same, but may contain minor differences due to the reconstruction. A negative just turned positive.
