whether it is in how we look or how little
money we have.
Emotional pain is relative to the person
perceiving his/her problem.
In this message for July is a story about
Indigo's dealing with
weight and perception of who is allowed to feel
pain about
weight and money.
The article is titled:
Weight and Perception: Bulk Be Gone!
by Indigo Irwin Kennedy
Give yourself time!
I have learned so much from readers of The Wave
Riders,
Bi-polar phenomenon, The Gift and Manual, since writing
the book and I am grateful for all of your input
and communications.
I hope, soon, to have the second book out that act
as a follow up,
letting you know about how other Wave Riders have
worked through
the process, so please if you have a story to
share send it in!
I also hope to be able to bring more workshops
with workbooks
that will help readers to reinforce their new
beliefs as well as
audio tapes for those who hate to read.
Until this is available I want to share a
little about what I have
learned in the meantime.
There is a repeating process appearing ...
(steps 1-3 were discussed in the last newsletter
as well)
1. Upon reading the book you will gain hope.
2. This hope sends you on a high wave ride.
3. You will continue to go up and down while you
determine what
works for you.
4. You begin to see. You begin to notice what
effects your mood.
5. After about 6 months you start to know that you
are really changed.
And that depression is no longer bossing you
around.
At this point you may start to believe that
something new has
changed you.
You might be tempted to think that what is in
front of you now
after months of work, made the change in you,
whether it is
a new drug, a new health cream, a new vitamin or a
new religion.
....you might be attempted to credit whatever
happens to be in
front of you at the time ...but look back and you
will see it is not
the latest fad that made you happy...it is the
work that you have
done for yourself. Give yourself credit -
you deserve it!
You have been open minded enough to see your life
in a new light.
You have been willing to watch for your personal
patterns.
You have been ready to stop the negative thought.
You have fought the temptations that both the
ecstasy and the
depression offer.
It is you my friend and the work that you have
done that deserves
the credit for your new life. Look inside,
not outside of yourself to
honor the committment to change that you have
made.
Then be ready for....
7. The end result where permanent lifestyle
changes have been
implemented creating a life of joy and peace,
where depression
is no longer an option. Give yourself
time to reach this point. We
are not asking for years as it appears to take
about 6 months for
the new changes to really set in. During the
first 6 months you
will have glimpses of hope as you work your way
through the
struggle.
As soon as you have read the book, your mind will
have created
new thoughts, and these new thoughts start
changing your view
on life and therefore they change your
destination.
On a further note:
It is also true that if a person will not fully
read the book and take the
time to observe their patterns, as well as be open
to the suggestion
of others observing the start of their high
and low rides, that they will be
destined to repeat the same patterns until they
come to a point that
their desire to change makes them willing to work
toward the goal.
There is not much that anyone can do to help
until a person is
really ready to help themselves. We can learn
to understand and view
them as gifted in a difficult situation while
they work through the process.
But we cannot force anyone to see their own
patterns. We can only
put the book in their hands and hope that someday
they will read the
pages and we can be there for them when they do.
Remember on this journey to a better life that you
are not alone and
give yourself time to process and practice and
give yourself the credit
you deserve!

Quote of the month
=====================================================
..."I will love the sun for it warms my
bones; yet I will love the rain for it
cleanses my spirit. I will love the darkness
for it shows me the stars.
I will welcome happiness for it enlarges my heart;
yet I will endure
sadness for it opens my soul. I will
acknowledge rewards for they
are my due; yet I will welcome obstacles for they
are my challenge"...

Research
=====================================================
There are a lot of warnings out on the Internet
about the negative
effects of the anti-depressant Paxil and teens and
children.
Here is a description on the medication...
...In just a few years, Paxil® (paroxetine HCl) has become one of the
leading treatments for depression and anxiety disorders in the country.
Paxil is a member of a class of prescription drugs called selective
serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) that has proven in clinical trials
to be both safe and effective with fewer side effects than other types
of antidepressant medications (i.e., TCAs and MAOIs)...
However!!!!! Read these!!! Caution:
Shocking stuff!
We have not verified the accuracy of this
information and have provided
these links so that you may ask your doctor a few
important questions
before giving Paxil to your children.

Collectors note: All books signed December 2002 have now
become collectors items! The printer lost the layout files and the
book had to be reconstructed. We have some December issues still
in stock. The new book will be the same, but may contain minor
differences due to the reconstruction. A negative just turned positive.
