Our focus inevitably turns to our accomplishments or lack of them and our Christmas becomes a measuring stick rather than a celebration..

Today's Gentle Reminder

Blue Skies

I recently was sent a warm wish of sunshine that read...

I live on the water ... in ...(Austrailia) so I send you happy sunny, blue sky warm thoughts.

It was funny how the day and many of my days since then seem to be a bit brighter. Even when we are having dark, grey and damp weather we are reminded
that parts of the world bask in warm sunshine. I found that I could carry the visualization of that sunshine with me throughout the day knocking down the intensity of the overcast skies. While my eyes saw grey clouds my mind was seeing blue skies ... just another reminder to keep your mind focussed on the positive.

I recall hearing the following conversation after the events of 911 in New York City. A grandfather was talking to his grandson telling him, “ I have two wolves barking inside of me. The first wolf is filled with anger, hatred, bitterness, and mostly revenge. The second wolf inside of me is filled with love, kindness, compassion, and mostly forgiveness.”

Which do you think will win?” the young boy inquired.
